Visualizing Presidential Election Results in Uganda
Keshif built a powerful and scalable solution to analyze and explore results of presidential elections in Uganda since 2006. The solution combines our advanced analytics dashboarding technology with custom-tailored charts to make proprietary data easily accessible from national to hyper-local levels.
The IRI has processed the Central Election Commission’s data and created a proprietary methodology and multi-level hyperlocal map files for the past four elections in the country. Using the portal, political parties can visually search, analyze and explore election results for presidential candidates, voting trends, turnouts, irregularities and more, from national to hyper-local levels. The portal allows them to better understand constituency preferences at any given location and explore opportunities to expand the electorate using data.

Visual Data Analytics and Dashboarding
We designed the dashboards and visualizations that make election result data explorable for different analysis levels that fit the data methodology and the Uganda electoral system.
Web Design and Development
We created an optimized, minimal yet extensive way to navigate election results in-depth and with ease. We designed a low-maintenance, low-complexity, robust, and secure technical infrastructure on public cloud services to store, quickly deliver, and easily maintain the election data.
We performed data processing and wrangling to transform the IRI proprietary data methodology and files into data backends that support various dashboards and pages with fast data loading times.
We created an architecture that supports raw, aggregate and filtered data exports for each location, saving and sharing of filtered dashboards, user tracking, and embeddable guides for visual analysis.
